Taking Doom to the streets

 

Here’s some great Doom street art. Berlin-based artists Mr. Tailon, Baveux, Kone & Epoxy slapped the HUD from the game over the top of some adverts around their home city. You’ll notice there are a few modifications to ID’s original design. For example, the name of the group “FTW CRU” is spelled out and the ammo gauges have been replaced by the names of the artists. As the Doom Guy faces increasingly tough enemies – a happy model, a woman on the verge of disrobing and Santa Claus – his health goes down and he tries out increasingly powerful weapons to hold back the hordes.
